Season 2 Episode 15 showed Nanami and their group of sorcerers fighting against the special grade cursed spirit Dagon. At one point, Megumi finds the exit to Dagon’s Domain. But before they can escape, a reincarnation of Toji Fushiguro enters the Domain, surprising everyone. Toji, who is attacking the strongest in the area, starts attacking Dagon. His speed overwhelms the cursed spirit and Toji kills Dagon, dispelling the Domain.
Jogo appears and begins mourning the death of Dagon. Before they could even react, Jogo covered Nanami and Maki in flames. Jogo eventually gets Naobito as well.Mahito is the one who kills Nanami during the Shibuya arc. Nanami was walking around Shibuya Station, despite being heavily injured because of Dagon and Jogo. He passes by Mahito, not knowing that the cursed spirit is there. Eventually, Mahito confronts Nanami. At this time, Yuji Itadori is entering the station.
Nanami smiles at Itadori and he says that Itadori has got it from here. Mahito then kills Nanami right in front of Itadori.The anime does not exactly adapt the manga in order, so the adapted manga chapters per episode vary. The anime adapts around four to six chapters per episode. With that, the estimated episode where Nanami dies should be around Episode 41 or 42 .
