A 33-year-old Dixon mother of newborn twins has been resentenced by a Solano County Superior Court judge to one year in jail, which was later suspended, and probation.
A Solano County Superior Court judge on Monday resentenced ato one year in jail, then suspended the punishment and ordered probation.
Gutierrez also ordered McCleese, who was previously convicted of two felonies, not to possess firearms, seek mental health counseling, take parenting classes and maintain employment. Before formally recalling the sentence, Gutierrez said he had received “new information” relevant to the case, a handwritten letter from McCleese in which she stated, “I won’t let you down!” and jail medical records, among other things.
He reminded McCleese that on April 7 she was convicted by a jury of her peers on three felony counts: one for possessing a blank check not her own and two for using an ID with intent to defraud. “You have a beautiful family,” he said, looking directly at McCleese. “It’s time for you to take responsibility.”
