A timeline for when the threats have been made against the officials was not specified.
Prior to the arraignment, Trump criticized Merchan in a post on Truth Social by calling him"highly partisan" and discussing how Merchan's daughter allegedly worked for Kamala Harris's 2020 presidential campaign.
