Fast forward a few years, and Cruz is now a staunch ally of the president. So how was he able to forgive someone who’d said something seemingly unforgivable about his family?Cruz tells me his faith played a huge role in reconciling his relationship with the POTUS, saying,"Forgiveness is critical to what it means to being a Christian. And forgiveness is something I try to do."
