Rock star Jon Bon Jovi has been named the 2024 'MusiCares' Person of the Year for establishing a successful nonprofit that helps people in need.

"Looking forward to celebrating on February 2nd and for this incredible night’s proceeds to raise essential funds for MusiCares.
Described as music's leading nonprofit on its website, MusiCares provides "a safety net of critical health and welfare services to the music community." It's three key areas are mental health and addiction recovery services, health services, as well as human services, which offers support for basic living expenses like rent, utilities, car payments and insurance premiums.Seventeen years ago, he launched the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation.
His wife, Dorothea, serves as the founder and program director of the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen, an effort to feed the hungry.
