Welcome to JoJo's golden age
It's clear that the golden age of JoJo is still ahead of us. The 29-year-old R&B singer announced on Friday that a forthcoming new album called good to know and an upcoming North American headlining tour of the same name, her first since 2017, are in store for the months ahead. Although there's no release date tied to the project yet, it's expected to debut sometime in the spring via Clover Music/Warner Records.
The highly anticipated new project will be JoJo's first album since she left her previous label Atlantic Records in 2017, and re-recorded and re-released her debut and sophomore albums in 2018. She has since shared a quiet string of singles —"Joanna" and"Sabotage" — on Clover Music, her own imprint under Warner Records.
Of the upcoming project, JoJo wrote in a press statement:"I called the album good to know because of everything I've learned in the past few years — every piece of feedback, criticism , whatever it is — it's all just information. And it's all good! I've been lucky to have the space to reflect on my own journey up to now, and I hope people can take comfort in the fact that I am not anywhere near perfect, and I will never sugarcoat anything.
JoJo's good to know tour kicks off on April 21 in Seattle. See the full list of dates below, and be on the lookout for pre-sale tickets, available February 24.
