PETALING JAYA: Only 62% or 70 MPs from Perikatan Nasional have declared their assets to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), says Akmal Nasrullah Nasir (PH-Johor Baru).

During his debate on the Royal Address in Parliament on Monday , Akmal pointed out that 43 Perikatan MPs have yet to declare their respective assets, as he questioned if the ruling coalition was being serious over the matter.

“If the average salary of RM40,000 to RM50,000 per person does not include other benefits, the cost to take care of these people is RM25mil annually. The letter had requested Muhammad Sanusi to consider giving Muzammil a position in a government agency or a GLC. Akmal said that unemployment rates among Malaysian youths are six times higher than the 40-and-above age group.
