John Whaite pulls out of StrictlyComeDancing tour performance
Strictly Come Dancing star John Whaite has been forced to pull out of Sunday night's tour performance of the live dancing show.
John is seen laying in bed as he told his 309,000 followers: "I've got a little bit of bad news I'm afraid. A lateral flow this morning has come back positive so I now have to sit here in this glamorous captivity – lovely bedhead – until a result of a PCR comes back. "But that does mean that I won't be able to perform today or tonight in Glasgow so I am very, very, very, very sorry if anyone was hoping to see me shake my thing on the dance floor today because I just won't be there shaking it, I'll be in my hotel room – probably still shaking it."
The Bake Off star ended his Strictly journey in second place as Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice scooped up the Glitterball trophy. In the post to over 280,000 followers, the star wrote: "I’m so proud to have been even up there with this girl. I’m sure you’ll agree she’s a remarkable human being, a barrier breaker, and a very worthy winner."
Be the first to meet the latest showbiz babies, see the most sought after wedding pictures of the year, or take a guided tour around your favourite star's lavish multi-million pound home - all for free!Speaking in a VT on the BBC programme, John said: "I think before the show, people thought I was quite confident, but I’m actually quite a shy person.
