For LaPaix, the draw was the chance to create radio at a grassroots level. She joined the CBC at an “extraordinary time” that she considered a “radio revolution.”Big media only likes big stories, she said via email. That can mean just about everything: from what is going on in the community, to public affairs, to shows and guests who can enlighten about the state of the ocean and the environment, to four-season gardening.
