Wednesday, the"Star Trek" and"Harold & Kumar" actor, 47, shared why the pandemic is reminding some that their belonging is"conditional."
Cho added that as he became an actor and opportunities opened for him, he"began to lead a life devoid of race" in some ways. But he's "learned that a moment always comes along to remind you that your race defines you above all else." As they were flying across the country, he recounted, it became a"grim routine" as Kal was pulled aside"flight after flight" for a"random search."
"I gasped and looked back at Kal, who was watching a Transportation Security Administration worker empty the contents of his bag. It was a reality check," Cho added.
