Los Angeles Chargers outside linebacker Joey Bosa has been named as a replacement for Khalil Mack in the 2025 Pro Bowl Games. Mack was unable to participate due to an undisclosed injury. Bosa, despite playing in only 14 games due to injuries, recorded five sacks during the regular season and one in the playoffs.

The ChargersJoey Bosa sacks Denver quarterback Bo Nix during the second quarter on Dec. 19, 2024, at SoFi Stadium. Joey Bosa was named Thursday by the NFL to replace fellow Chargers outside linebacker Khalil Mack for the 2025 Pro Bowl Games next month in Orlando, Florida. Mack was unable to participate because of an unspecified injury, the Chargers said in an email announcing Bosa’s selection.

The 29-year-old Bosa recorded five sacks during the 2024 regular season and one more in the playoffs, his eighth season with five or more sacks. He also forced two fumbles and had 22 tackles, but he was limited to 14 games, including nine starts, because of injuries this past season. Bosa and Mack, 33, teamed to help the Chargers become the NFL’s stingiest defense during the regular season, giving upper game. It was the first time the Chargers ranked first in defense since their AFL championship season of 1963 while based in San Diego.
