New York Knicks fans took over Wells Fargo Center on Sunday for Game 4 against the Philadelphia 76ers, and Joel Embiid wasn't happy about it.
Knicks fans effectively took over Wells Fargo Center on Sunday as the team took a 3–1 series lead over Philadelphia, andAfter the game, Embiid voiced his frustration over the situation and called it"disappointing" to see so many away fans pumping up the volume at a 76ers home game.
"Disappointing," said Embiid to reporters after the Game 4 loss."I love our fans. I think it's unfortunate. I'm not calling them out, but it is disappointing. Obviously, we got a lot of Knicks fans and they're down the road, but I've never seen it. I've been here 10 years.”“It kinda pisses me off. Especially, because Philly is considered a sports town. They've always shown up and I don't think that should happen. It's not O.K.," he added.
Knicks fans certainly made their presence felt Sunday, as they were loud from the moment the game tipped off. And that didn't cease after the final whistle, either. After the game, the fan base continued its postgame celebrations outside the arena, not holding back while mocking the 76ers in various forms and fashions.
