The Marvel hitmaker and his brother are branching out with their own busy production company. Joe Russo was recognized as part of 2018's Variety500 presented by VZMediaPlatform
After their Marvel Studios debut on “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Russo and brother Anthony have gone on to become the architects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s string of massive successes, helming the top grossing film of 2016, “Captain America: Civil War” as well as “Avengers: Infinity War,” the epic team-up that grossed more than $2 billion with its first
part alone. With their Marvel filmography winding down after part two, the brothers have launched production company AGBO with the goal of working in different genres and budget ranges. They’ve already lined up a busy slate that includes an international event series with Amazon, Netflix action film “Dhaka” starring Chris Hemsworth and a screen adaptation of hot novel “Cherry.”
