Production on the forthcoming fourth installment of the acclaimed crime drama True Detective: Night Country has officially begun.
is being written by Issa López and Alan Page Arriaga, with López expected to direct multiple episodes. It will be executive produced by Foster, along with Barry Jenkins, Adele Romanski, and Mark Ceryak through their Pastel banner.
“When the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the six men that operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace,” reads the synopsis. “To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.”
