TORONTO — Jockey Patrick Husbands, who rode Canada's last Triple Crown winner, topped the '24 class named for induction into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame on Wednesday.

Husbands, a resident of Brampton, Ont., is a three-time winner of the $1-million King's Plate and has been named Canada's top rider seven times. He has recorded 3,632 career wins . Driver Sylvain Filion, of Angers, Que., tops the list of standardbred inductees. Last October, Filion became the first Canadian-based driver in harness-racing history to reach 10,000 career wins.
