It doesn’t make a lot of sense, until you consider that Dr. Ben Carson is a conservative. Therefore, even though he’s Black, he’s targeted by the same cancel culture activists who claim to want to help Black people. He not only became a neurosurgeon, but one of the best neurosurgeons in the world. As Kira Davis explains in Red State, Carson was “the youngest chief of pediatric neurosurgery in the nation at the age of 33. In 1987 he led the surgical team that performed the first successful separation of conjoined twins. Carson is famed in his field for developing new surgery techniques and successfully managing some of the most difficult pediatric neurosurgery cases in the nation.

And there you have it: Carson’s name is being taken off of a high school because he served as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Donald Trump.Carson reacted to Detroit Public Schools in an interview with Fox News, “It’s very sad that we’ve reached the point where political ideology trumps the whole purpose of an educational institution … And we’re seeing this wokeness spreading throughout our community to the destruction of our community.
