Connor Hellebuyck made 29 saves to backstop the Winnipeg Jets to a much-needed 2-1 victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday.Nikolaj Ehlers and Adam Lowry scored for the Jets , who have only won two of their past five games.Barrett Hayton scored for the Coyotes and Karel Vejmelka stopped 23 shots.Ehlers gave the Jets a rare first goal when he stole the puck after a bad Arizona pass attempt, skated in alone on Vejmelka and slapped in his own rebound at 4:17 of the first period.

Hellebuyck made a huge save early in the second that drew loud cheers from the crowd at Canada Life Centre. Hayton scored his 15th goal of the season off a rebound at 11:46 to make it 2-1. The goal extended his point streak to eight games . The Jets had a pair of power plays close together early in the third, including a four-minute man advantage when Arizona’s Liam O’Brien received a double minor for high-sticking Winnipeg forward Vladislav Namestnikov in the face, but they couldn’t extend their lead.Keller keeps cooking
