During her interview on JimmyKimmelLive, Jessica Simpson, whose memoir 'Open Book' releases Feb. 4, remembers the time that her acting coach Chuck Norris encouraged her to 'channel her inner Denzel Washington'
on Wednesday night to chat with the late-night host about her memoir.
Speaking about why she chose to get personal, Simpson said, "I wanted to fill the world in on these fun stories and emotional stories, that are kind of how I got to the place I'm in right now."as an intimate account of her life in and out of the spotlight.
Simpson added that Norris encouraged her to "channel her inner Denzel Washington" even though, as a 12-year-old, she didn't know who Washington was. Now as an adult, Simpson says that the experience "ruined every Denzel Washington movie" for her. "All I do is watch his eyebrows."
