But we also have a prime minister who had no qualms about asking his attorney general to intervene in the prosecution of a politically favoured company, or pressuring the RCMP commissioner to withhold information about a mass shooting in order to further Liberal gun-control efforts. Few would likely be surprised if the PMO ever did pull a few strings at the CBC at a politically opportune time.
