One of the Cowboys top pass rushers is facing an arrest warrant heading into Monday's game against Tom Brady and the Bucs. Dallas owner Jerry Jones discussed that Friday.
Police said they had contacted Williams and let him know that he needed to turn himself in, and that if they pulled him over they would likely take him in, too. That all left folks wondering if Williams, who has four sacks, might not be available for the game against the Bucs.Jones said that as far as he knows, the warrant will not change Williams’ availability for the game. He was also asked if the team planned to discipline Williams in any way.
“As I see it today, nothing at all will do that,” Jones said when asked about Williams’ availability being impacted. Williams reportedly suffered a sprained neck and a concussion after his Corvette collided with an Infiniti last month. The Forth Worth Star-Telegram’s Clarence Hill Jr. reported that “the other driver was briefly hospitalized with minor injuries,” and that police “now say the speed at which Williams was traveling at,” when the crash occurred led to the warrant.“You’re looking at the car like, man, but God works in mysterious ways,” he said. “I know He has something in store for me.
