The Pacific Crest Trail passes through 25 national forests and seven national parks in California, Oregon and Washington. Farkas, Elizabeth Ptycia, who was a caring mentor and elementary school teacher for over 25 years. Farkas said he made many friends along the trail and was pleasantly surprised by the kindness of strangers throughout his journey. He said it was challenging to ask for help, but he quickly understood everyone on the trail needed to rely on each other to succeed.Article content
