, the actor, 55, who portrays NCAA champion wrestler Anthony Robles’ mom Judy Robles in the movie, looked back on her own experiences as a single mom while discussing her likeness to the athlete’s mom.
“I’ve been a single mom at times in my life and , ‘Am I enough for them?’” Lopez said in the story published Monday. “And the truth is, all you need is really one good parent to love you.”” on social media over the summer. She shares the twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony. The former couple tied the knot in 2004 before later divorcing in 2014.

In the same interview with EW, the real-life Judy Robles praised Lopez for expertly embodying her during her performance as her in the film.“She was able to really take on how I felt — the highs and the lows,” she said of Lopez. “We long to be loved, and we want something impossible to work out. And even when we see it and we’re like, ‘But I’ve got to keep pushing’ — there’s always a little bit of hope.
