PETALING JAYA: Defending Super League champions Johor Darul Ta’zim have beefed up their security for players after Safiq Rahim was a victim of an anonymous attack.
The 36-year-old, who plays for Super League champions Johor Darul Ta’zim revealed the incident on his social media account by posting a police report."I did not expect myself to be attacked near the JDT training centre. Looks like we have to be real careful," said Safiq, who posted a photo of his smashed car and police report on his Instagram account late Tuesday night.
The club’s chief executive officer Alistair Edwards said the Southern Tigers are concerned over the incident and advised their players to be mindful of their surroundings. "We have also advised our players to be cautious of their surroundings and postings on social times at all times."
