Things like this don’t happen to me!” She sent a reply, “Feeling like a little teenager. I didn’t expect any of this. He tweeted that this time there’d be no chance of losing the ball, as he’d sign it and hand it to me directly.”“I’m still riding high from this. His kindness, his generosity, his humility — if you’re a mother, you’d want him as a son.”
Although her Blue Jays interaction was short, “It reinforces the good in the world, that there are good people out there. Alek just emanates that. It’s going to be such an honour to meet him — I hope I don’t ugly cry,” she laughs. “Nothing, nothing, nothing like this ever happens to me! This is the greatest thing — other than the birth of my son — in my life!”
