Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce shares his feelings about watching the Super Bowl between his former team and his brother Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs.

Jason Kelce , the former center for the Philadelphia Eagles, opened up about the emotional rollercoaster of watching Sunday's Super Bowl between his former team and the Kansas City Chiefs, the team his brother, Travis Kelce, plays for. He described the experience as increasingly strange throughout the week. On one hand, he had dedicated his entire life to the Eagles organization and team.

On the other hand, he had his brother, whom he had always supported and wanted to see succeed, especially in this monumental game. Jason Kelce admitted that while he tried to express his support for Travis, he felt conflicted, unable to fully align with either side. The Eagles emerged victorious on Sunday, defeating the Chiefs 40-22. This wasn't their first encounter; the two teams clashed in the 2023 Super Bowl, a game won by the Chiefs with a score of 38-35, with both brothers competing against each other. Jason Kelce, who spent 13 years with the Eagles, retired following their 2023 Super Bowl triumph. He acknowledged a sense of pride and happiness at the Eagles' win but emphasized that his primary concern was rooting for his younger brother. Describing the game as 'very, very hard to watch,' Jason Kelce struggled to find the right words, his voice catching as he almost broke down in tears. He confessed, 'As much as I love the Eagles, as much as I love the city of Philadelphia, there wasn't a fucking ounce of me that—' pausing before continuing, 'I tried to correlate that I was rooting for both sides the whole time and that I was going to be happy and sad regardless.' He alluded to the backlash he received from some fans for seemingly supporting both teams. Travis Kelce defended his brother, stating that he was giving those people 'too much attention.' He emphasized the importance of his supportive family and friends, saying, 'My life is still beautiful. I come home to an amazing household of family and friends that absolutely love me. That's the beauty of going through a hard time like this.' As for the future, Travis Kelce expressed a desire to focus on his teammates and coaches, understanding the immense effort involved in their success. He stated, 'Right now, I’m just kicking everything down the road. … I’m not making any crazy decisions, but right now, the biggest thing is just being there for my teammates and being there for my coaches, understanding that there’s a lot goes into this thing,' indicating a commitment to navigating the challenges ahead
