'He was in a very bad car accident,' he said. 'He wasn’t driving. He was in the passenger seat, and he’s lucky to be alive.'
Giving an update: The actor, 39, missed a Supernatural fan convention this weekend because of the incident, according to Ackles The Texas native announced he would not be able to make it to the convention in a tweet on Thursday but didn't specify why at the time. Padalecki played Sam Winchester on for all 15 season of Supernatural while Ackles played his brother Dean. They each appeared in 327 episodes.
