Universities are supposed to expose young minds to diverse ideas. This won’t happen if ideological screening is part of the hiring process

Many universities have begun requiring job applicants to submit statements attesting to their commitment to the values of diversity, equity and inclusion . These political attestations force educators into the role of activists and weed out those who don’t believe in a specific set of values. Some might argue that DEI is not ideological at all, and that good people should have no problem committing themselves to unobjectionable things like diversity and inclusion — but if this was the case, they’d be tooUltimately, DEI is political — it’s a commitment to carrying out the praxis of the modern left’s holy trifecta: critical race theory, intersectional feminism and gender ideology.

To remedy these unequal outcomes, they prescribe policies under the DEI umbrella that “level the playing field,” in order to achieve equity across diverse groups. These policies often discriminate against those who belong to “oppressor” demographic groups — even those of low income, wealth and class backgrounds.program, which won’t allow the hiring of certain types of people — namely, white people, men and especially white men — in universities where diversity quotas haven’t been met.
