Carnitas Lonja will be closed this week as its home for the past six years prepares to reopen as a friend's locally owned new restaurant,He said he plans to reopen Lonja — which means"love handles" in Spanish — as early as next Monday in the building just to the right of the shop he opened on Roosevelt Avenue in 2017. He's not sure of the exact days or hours of service just yet. Lovers Pizzeria has not announced an opening date.
