Jameela Jamil comes out as queer amid backlash over judging new ballroom show.
Jamil says she's hinted about her sexuality for a while, writing,"I added a rainbow to my name when I felt ready a few years ago, as it's not easy within the south Asian community to be accepted."
She also noted that she always"answered honestly" whenever a fan asked her the significance behind her profile's rainbow emoji. Jamil also said that"being queer doesn't qualify me as ballroom" but said her platform, along with fellow host Megan Thee Stallion's, would help promote the show and spread its message to more people.
