He may be trying to make up for all that money he lost when Globe Life Field opened to a pandemic. Davis didn’t make the conference call, but his organization dropped a hint.
The problem then – besides the fact that Hicks basically won a one-man bidding war – was not the money. A-Rod earned his salary. The problem was that Hicks didn’t follow up. Remember A-Rod’s complaint about the roster before he went out the door? Him and 24 kids?
