The U.S. Department of Justice announced on Friday that a Jacksonville man was sentenced to prison on two felony charges related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
February 16, 2024 at 4:39 pm ESTThe DOJ announced Daniel Gray, Jacksonville, was sentenced to 30 months in prison for his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol breach.JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Daniel Paul Gray, 43, was sentenced to 30 months in prison, 36 months of supervised release, and ordered to pay $2,000 restitution. Gray had pleaded guilty on Oct. 25, 2023, to felony charges of obstruction of an official proceeding and assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers.
Jan. 6, 2021 - Gray attended a rally at the Ellipse. He made his way to a restricted area of the Capitol building as early as 2:25 p.m. Grey was present when the police line fell on the west side of the building and at 2:41 p.m. entered the Capitol.
