BAKER COUNTY, Fla. — A Jacksonville man was arrested Wednesday as he is accused of selling illegal drugs to undercover Baker County detectives throughout October, according to the Baker County Sheriff's Office., police say narcotics detectives have been conducting controlled purchases of illicit substances from the man identified as 44-year-old Mark Dennison.
Police say Dennison was taken into custody in Macclenny Wednesday during another alleged attempt to sell more narcotics. At the time of his arrest, the post reveals that Dennison was in possession of 41 grams of fentanyl, 24 grams of methamphetamine, six grams of cocaine, a small quantity of LSD, prescription pills, mushrooms, marijuana and $1,700 in cash.
Aside from the large quantity of deadly fentanyl and other drugs, the sheriff's office says Dennison is also accused of delivering approximately four ounces of methamphetamine into Baker County over the last several weeks. According to the post, Dennison faces charges of trafficking fentanyl, sale of fentanyl, three counts of trafficking methamphetamine, three counts of sale of methamphetamine, four counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell, two counts of possession of cocaine, possession of psilocybin ,"numerous counts" of possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest without violence.
