With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Patricia, a cherished wife, devoted mother, and beloved grandmother
With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Patricia, a cherished wife, devoted mother, and beloved grandmother. Patricia, 66, lived a life filled with boundless love, vibrant energy, and unwavering zest for adventure.
She passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who knew her. Patricia is survived by her husband Francis Sheridan, son Colin Sheridan, daughter in-law Léanne Sheridan, son Philip Sheridan, daughter in-law Candice Mackay, grandchildren Lachlan and Aniston Sheridan, sister Mary Schneider and brother Mark Jackson. It would be remiss not to include Mary Sheridan, her mother-in-law with whom she had a very special relationship. Born in Toronto, Patricia's journey was one of exploration and discovery. A proud graduate of the biology program at Laurentian University, she embarked on a career as an environmental engineer with the Irving Company in New Brunswick. Throughout her professional journey, Patricia's passion for preserving nature and nurturing the environment remained steadfast. Patricia loved for the great outdoors. All over the world, she immersed herself in the beauty of nature, finding solace and joy in every corner of the wilderness. Whether she was cross country skiing, biking, or kayaking, she embraced every moment with great enthusiasm. Her adventurous spirit knew no bounds, as she explored new horizons and embraced the thrill of travel. Patricia's wanderlust took her to far-off lands, where she experienced the richness of diverse cultures and the wonder of breathtaking landscapes. Yet, amidst her global adventures, her heart remained tethered to her beloved family, whom she cherished above all else. At home, Patricia found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She relished the warmth of a sauna, the tranquility of a hike, and the exhilaration of a bike ride through nature's embrace. Above all, her greatest source of happiness was the time spent with her cherished grandchildren, whose laughter filled her heart with love and joy. In the hearts of her devoted husband of 44 years, Francis, and her adoring sons, Colin and Phil, Patricia's spirit will continue to shine brightly. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will endure for generations to come. As we bid farewell to Patricia, let us take solace in the memories we shared, the love we cherished, and the legacy she leaves behind. May her spirit forever soar among the stars, guiding us with her light and inspiring us to live each day to the fullest, just as she did.Memorial Visitation at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 2-4; 6-8pm and after 10:30am Friday.
