No. 12-ranked IU controlled the game and pace from start to finish and didn't blink when the 11th-ranked Volunteers made a late charge, winning 79-67.
IU matched Tennessee's physicality down low
The results were mixed; a player as big and physical as Key is inevitably going to score. She finished with 14 points, but Holmes had her moments. In the opening minutes, she outworked Key for an offensive rebound and drew a foul. Throughout the night she was an irritant down low, moving Key off her block, jamming her forearm into the center's back. Holmes scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Tennessee then switched to man defense, which worked better, but still couldn't consistently stop IU. Parrish brought energy off the bench and scored 12 points. Indiana was 8-for-29 from 3-point range, but moved the ball, driving and kicking and keeping UT off balance.
