Domestic companies bring big opportunities too
The Magnificent Seven continues to get a lot of attention, and with good reason. Some of these tech stocks have posted huge profits this year, despite the sell-off at the end of last week.All very impressive. But you could have done almost as well investing in home grown technology stocks, leaving foreign exchange aside.
Celestica has two operating segments: Advanced Technology Solutions and Connectivity & Cloud Solutions . Revenue for the quarter to the end of September was $2.2 billion, compared to $1.7-billion in the same period last year, an increase of 26 per cent. Free cash flow was $421-million, an increase of 52.5 per cent from $276-million a year ago. The company reported net income of $344-million , up from $173-million a year ago.: Fourth quarter revenue is expected to grow at a mid-to-high-twenties percentage rate on a year-over-year basis.
