Bay Street Bridge Art Gathering started as an informal get-together of artists
A casual get-together of artists under a bridge has since grown into one of the city’s more unconventional art shows — the Bay Street Bridge Art Gathering.
“There have been people here that are very trained artists and they’re putting up their beautiful little flower , but there’s also the more avant-garde.” Performance artist John G. Boehme methodically threw rolled up newspapers at a nearby bridge pillar in silence. “There’s trained artists, there’s people that have just started out, there’s people that are untrained and have just been doing for years. It’s just such a neat combination,” she said.
