Two-time women’s defending champion Hyflodraulic Limited enters the field having won both the senior women’s championships in the Harbour Grace and Placentia regattas. The Hyflodraulic crew — made up of coxswain Craig Whittle, stroke Catherine Kelly, No. 5 Tracy Roche, No. 4 Wendi Young, No. 3 Teresa Butler, No. 2 Amanda Butland and No. 1 Jennie Wadden — won the Karen Kerrivan Ladies' Championship with a time of 05:08.56.
The Cahill Group was the closest behind, with a time of 5:17.50, while the Top 3 was rounded out by Steers Insurance with a time of 5:24.40. However, the NTV men's crew has one win under their belts this season, as they took home first place in the Placentia Regatta, with a time of 9:46.69.
