The Tesla Supercharging network really is that good.
so that its vehicles can use Tesla superchargers with no adapters needed. In a surprise announcement, it looks like General Motors is following Ford's lead. In a tweet, GM takes the position that this move is about putting the customer first."It's about your convenience, not our competition," read the tweet.
"Beginning in 2025, the first GM EVs will be built with a NACS inlet for direct access to Tesla Superchargers without an adapter. In the future, GM will make adapters available for drivers of NACS-enabled vehicles to allow charging on CCS-capable fast charge stations," GM said in its statement. The automaker said starting next year in 2024, GM will offer adapters so that its CCS equipped EVs can use Tesla superchargers.
