Durham police are laying charges after recovering more than $120,000 in stolen landscaping equipment in Claremont.
Police say there were called around 1:30 a.m. Monday to a yard on Old Brock Road. The yard had been broken into, and a truck, a trailer and lawnmower equipment had been stolen.That evening, investigators executed search warrants at a pair of locations on Sideline 20 and Sideline 12, respectively. They wound up recovering the remaining tools and equipment.
Nicole Lewis, 40, of Stouffville, has been arrested and charged with theft and possession of property obtained by crime .Anyone with information can call Detective Constable Shaddick or Detective Barkwell at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2531/2562.
