stars Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg about the Netflix comedy, the themes of the film, and working with the legendary John Amos. The film is now streaming.
“When a stay-at-home dad finds himself with some ‘me time’ for the first time in years while his wife and kids are away, he reconnects with his former best friend for a wild weekend that nearly upends his life,” reads the logline.Tyler Treese: Kevin, your character Sonny is focusing on his family, which is obviously a great thing, but parts of his life have passed him by, and he’s just trying too hard to be the super dad.
Mark, you’ve done some incredibly inspiring films lately, which have all been great, and this film has a lot of heart, but what was it like just getting to play Huck and go all out in a comedy?: It was so much fun. I mean, working with this guy, I don’t want to gas him up any more than he is already gassed up, but this guy is fantastic. And he is just a really nice guy, so to be able to go and cut loose after I just did, I had just done. Then I came into this movie and it was just so much fun.
