After a weather-related postponement, a SpaceX cargo ship blasted into space this past weekend with an extra special something on board.
Supplies are on the way to International Space Station after a successful launch by SpaceX on Saturday.
Several meal containers were onboard that included all the elements needed for a Thanksgiving-style meal — turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, brussel sprouts, candied yams, and a cranapple dessert, a NASA public affairs spokesperson told FOX Television Stations. Many other fresh food items were also delivered, including oranges, avocados, grapefruits, baby carrots, and many other fruits. The astronauts were also greeted with several other much-needed supplies.
