The Fairbanks North Star Borough is accepting nominations for the Family Friendly Workplace awards.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Interior Alaska is home to a wide variety of local businesses, and the Fairbanks North Star Borough is asking for the public’s help in recognizing those that are family-friendly.
Ways a business can be considered “family-friendly” include flexible scheduling, allowing a younger child to be brought into the workplace, and providing help with daycare needs, among others.Awards are given in 9 categories based on the type of company and its number of employees. Non-profit and public entities each have categories as well., winners are not necessarily selected based on the number of votes, but on the quality of the stories told.
