The site is housed in a 15,000-square-foot former rail depot in the West Loop. As well as the brewery and taproom, the site is also home to an all-day restaurant and a morning café-bakery, our sister siteFrom its design to its menu offerings, the company's latest venture is a mix of the old and the new, having renovated the long-vacant depot into a state-of-the-art brewery.
While the official menu has yet to be released, the company has said its food offerings will take inspiration from Irish cuisine as well as re-imagining local classics like Chicago caviar, a play on giardiniera dip. There will also be a brunch menu on weekends. Guinness' Open Gate Brewery opens its doors on Thursday, September 28 at 8am, when its bakery will be serving the likes of fresh brown bread, Intelligentsia coffee, and assorted treats from Aya Pastry.A giant harp floats over the bar-restaurant
