Two women are recovering in hospital after being struck by a van Monday evening on Burrard Street.According to a Vancouver police news release, two Vancouver women, ages 53 and 35, were walking on the west sidewalk just before 6:30 p.m. when a silver Dodge caravan travelling southbound toward the Burrard Street Bridge jumped the curb and struck the pair. Both pedestrians were transported to hospital with serious injuries, as was the driver of the vehicle, a man in his 60s.
Among those represented by Barsky is Phillip James Tallio, who was sentenced to life in prison at age 17 for the murder of a 22-month-old girl in Bella Coola, and has maintained since the beginning of his sentence, over 30 years ago, that he’s innocent.“I am one of the two people in this accident,” Barsky wrote in a Facebook message to friends, just before undergoing surgery for her injuries.
