Injury crash near Auburn closes lanes of SR 18

Drivers should avoid the area and take alternate routes.

At 10:39 a.m. on Monday, Valley Regional Fire Authority tweeted that the two-vehicle crash happened just east of the Auburn Black Diamond exit.

The crash happened on a bridge over the Green River and appeared to involve a passenger car and a box truck.At11:22 a.m., the Washington State Department of Transportation said the backup extended five miles past the state Route 167 junction. Eastbound SR 18 backup extends past Auburn Way because of the crash blocking all lanes at Auburn Black Diamond Rd.
