RR Auction de Boston acepta pujas por el informe de 1945 y una carta firmada por “Opie” en que describe a la bomba nuclear como una “arma para agresores”. Hasta el sábado, las ofertas por el informe habían rebasado los 35.
En el informe se detalla el desarrollo de la bomba y está firmado por Oppenheimer y otros 23 científicos y administradores que participaron en el Proyecto Manhattan, como Enrico Fermi, Ernest Lawrence, James Chadwick y Harold Urey.
