PICTOU, N.S. — Voters will be able to cast their ballots for the Pictou West byelection on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, but Elections Nova Scotia wants to remind eligible locals that they can vote ahead of time at either the returning office or the advance poll.
Early voting is available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Pictou West returning office at 49 Pine Tree Rd. and from Saturday, May 11, to Saturday, May 18, at the advance poll at theThis week, on Thursday, May 16, and Friday, May 17, hours are extended at both early voting locations until 8 p.m.On election day, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, voting will open at 8 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
Eligible voters in the Pictou West byelection must be 18 years of age or older on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, a Canadian citizen, reside in the electoral district of Pictou West, and have lived in Nova Scotia since October 21, 2023 .It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
