Carrasco, who last pitched on May 30, revealed the news Friday night during an excerpt of an interview that aired on CDN 37 in the Dominican Republic. The full interview is expected to air Sunday. The team said Carrasco, 32, has been cleared for strength and conditioning workouts and some throwing activity. He’ll be evaluated regularly throughout his recovery.
