An Indian couple decapitated themselves using a homemade guillotine in a bizarre human sacrifice ritual that shocked the country.

Their guillotine had been set up so that both their severed heads would roll directly into a fire altar as part of the sacrifice. The incident occurred in the tiny village of Vinchiya, in the state of Gujarat. Their two children — aged 12 and 13 — discovered their decapitated torsos after visiting an uncle in a neighbouring village..Officials discovered a suicide note that revealed the duo had willingly taken their own lives. No one was to blame for their deaths, they wrote.
Investigators are attempting to determine whether the macabre incident was part of a black magic ritual that called for their sacrifice.
