Take a look-back at the annual event over the years
The Orange Order has been commemorating the victory with annual celebrations every summer for centuries. Thousands of Orangemen, women and juniors march in parades around Northern Ireland, Scotland and some Commonwealth countries such as Canada each year.
With sashes, banners and marching bands, the parade processions know how to make their presence heard. They draw large crowds of spectators no matter what location they take place in. We decided to look back at photographed Twelfth parades in Northern Ireland over the years. From over a century ago to more recent times, these images show the level of pageantry that has always existed at Twelfth celebrations throughout the event's history.
